(1) Subject to the provisions of this Act, the Minister or an immigration officer may grant a permit, subject to such conditions as may be deemed expedient, to a prohibited immigrant to enter and remain in Saint Lucia:
Provided that an immigration officer shall, in granting such permit, act subject to an in accordance with the general or special directions of the Minister. (Amended by Act 3 of 1991)
(2) The expression “conditions” in subsection (1) means conditions as to duration, place of residence, occupation, or furnishing of security, and includes conditions as to any other matter or thing whether similar or not to the matters or things in this subsection specified.
