9.   Forfeiture

  1.  

    (1)   All property, including but not limited to money, valuables and other movable and immovable property, of persons convicted of the crime of trafficking in persons under this Act that was used or intended to be used or was obtained in the course of the crime or benefits gained from the proceeds of the crime, must be forfeited to the State.

    (2)   Overseas assets of persons convicted of trafficking in persons are subject to forfeiture to the extent that the assets may be retrieved by the Government.
