(1) The court shall provide an opportunity to the victim of trafficking, if the victim desires it, to present his or her views and concerns at appropriate stages of criminal proceedings against traffickers, in a manner not prejudicial to the rights of the defendant.
(2) An interpreter who speaks a language the victim understands must be made available to the victim during the course of legal proceedings.
