2. Interpretation
In this Act —
“commercial fishing craft” means a boat propelled by mechanical power which is engaged in the fishing industry;
“Chief Agricultural Officer” includes any officer of the Ministry of Agriculture authorised by him to act on his behalf;
“Co-operative Society” means a society registered; under section 7 of the Co-operative Society Ordinance;
“engine” means an engine used by a registered owner for the purpose of propelling a commercial fishing craft;
“Minister” means the Minister charged with the subject of fishing;
“registered owner” means a person appearing in the register or list of members kept by any Co-operative Society;
