MANUFACTURE, ETC., OF EXPLOSIVES

9. Substances to which Part 2 applies

In this Part, unless the context otherwise requires, the term “Explosive”—

(a) means gunpowder, nitro-glycerine, dynamite, gun-cotton, blasting powders, fulminate of mercury or of other metals, coloured fires, and every other substance, whether similar to those above mentioned or not, used or manufactured with a view to produce a practical effect; and

(b) includes fog-signals, fireworks, fuses, rockets, percussion caps, detonators, cartridges, ammunition of all descriptions, and every adaptation or preparation of an explosive as above defined.

2. Storage in Magazine of gunpowder exceeding 50 lbs

3. Option of storage of gunpowder of 50 lbs or under

4. Cost of carriage and storage of gunpowder

5. Removal of gunpowder from magazine within 2 years

6. Gunpowder in magazine over 2 years how dealt with

7. Book to be kept by keeper of Magazine

8. Return by keeper of magazine to Director of Finance and Planning

10. Governor General may prohibit manufacture, etc., of specially dangerous explosive

11. Penalty on person contravening Order as to manufacture of explosives

12. Penalty on person contravening Order as to keeping of explosive

13. Penalty on person importing, etc., explosive in contravention of Order

14. Search for explosive in respect of which contravention of Order is suspected

15. Seizure and detention of explosive liable to forfeiture

16. Inspection of wharf, carriage, etc., with explosive in transits

17. Payment for sample taken of explosive

18. Recovery of penalties
