(1) All gunpowder imported into Saint Lucia in quantities exceeding 50 pounds weight, and either directly or indirectly imported by the same person, shall, upon the landing thereof, be carried to and placed in such store or magazine as may be appointed by the Governor General for that purpose at the place of importation.
(2) Every person who carries or attempts to carry such powder, or procures the same to be carried, to any other place, on being convicted thereof, is liable to a penalty not exceeding $96.
