(1) The Director may certify any agency, whether within Saint Lucia or otherwise, which he or she considers to have a high level of technical expertise in the prediction or assessment of risk of any kind of disaster, as an Accredited Disaster Notification Service for the purposes of this Act.
(2) A certification under subsection (1) may be general or limited to specified kinds of disaster.
