(1) The Governor General acting on the advice of the Committee hereinafter referred to in section 8 and the Saint Lucia Coconut Growers Association may, by order published in the Gazette—
(a) at any time and vary the rate specified in section 4(1);
(b) prescribe that the amount specified in section 4 shall cease to be levied, collected and paid in respect of coconut produce exported on or after a date specified in the order.
(2) Where an order is made under subsection (1)(a), the rate as varied shall have effect as if the varied rate was specified in section 4(1).
(3) Where an order is made under subsection (1)(b), the power of the Accountant General under section 4(3) to recover any amount payable under that section but not paid before the date specified in the order shall continue to have effect in the same manner and to the same extent as if the order had not been made.
