3.   Incorporation of Trustees

  1.  

    (1)   The Body Corporate which was created by subsection (1) of section 3 of the Mid-Missions Incorporation Ordinance by the name of “The Incorporated Trustees of the Mid-Missions in Saint Lucia” shall continue to exist and from and after the commencement of this Act, shall bear the name “The Incorporated Trustees of Baptist Mid-Missions in Saint Lucia.”

    (2)   The persons who at the commencement of this Act are registered under subsection (2) of section 3 of the said Ordinance as trustees of the Mid-Missions in Saint Lucia shall be deemed to be known as “The Incorporated Trustees of the Baptist Mid-Missions in Saint Lucia” (hereinafter referred to as “the Trustees”) and by that name, they and their successors in office shall have perpetual succession and shall be capable to sue and be sued in all Courts of Justice in Saint Lucia and shall have and use a common seal which may from time to time be altered by the General Council. Any 2 of the persons registered as trustees may act on behalf of the Trustees in the event of the death, incapacity or absence from the State of others.

    (3)   The names and addresses of the persons appointed from time to time to be trustees of Baptist Mid-Missions in Saint Lucia shall be notified to the Registrar of Companies and registered in his office.
