(1) Subject to subsection (2), the Schedule applies in relation to a request for assistance under this Act made by a Commonwealth country.
(2) Subsection (1) does not apply in relation to an informal request for assistance under this Act which is transmitted orally, but in the event that such a request is accepted—
(a) it is required to be implemented only to the extent that the central authority for Saint Lucia considers reasonable; and
(b) it shall be deemed to have been withdrawn if a request in accordance with subsection (1) for the assistance concerned is not transmitted within such period as the central authority for Saint Lucia considers reasonable.
(3) Where a Commonwealth country making a request for assistance under this Act wishes the request or any part of it, to be kept confidential it shall so state, giving reasons, in the request or in a document accompanying, but not forming part of the request.
