2. Interpretation
In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires—
“Agricultural Authority” means the Director of Agricultural Services and includes the Deputy Director of Agricultural Service and any person acting on their behalf by their direction;
“imported” means brought into Saint Lucia by any channel whatsoever;
“importer” includes the owner and consignee and their agents and servants;
“package” includes cage, box or anything whatsoever in which queen-bees are imported;
“Treasurer” includes every officer of customs and, for the purpose of dealing with the importation through the post office of queen-bees and bee-hives or other articles adapted for use in connection with bee-keeping, includes the Postmaster and any officer of the post office acting on his or her behalf by his or her direction or that of the Governor General.
