4. General duties of Chief Engineer
The Chief Engineer shall be charged, subject to the authority, direction and control of the Governor General, with the construction, repair, and supervision of all works, buildings, wharves, public highways and bridges, the cost of which is to be defrayed from the general revenue of Saint Lucia.
