26.   Mode of dealing with forfeited petroleum

    (1)   Any petroleum forfeited, together with the packages containing it, shall be dealt with as the Governor General may direct.

    (2)   A half of the proceeds of any forfeited petroleum, and a half of any penalty recovered under this Act, shall be paid into the Treasury for the use of Saint Lucia, and the other half in either case shall be paid to the informer, seizing officer, or other officer concerned in the seizure or recovery, in such proportion as may be determined by the Governor General.
