(1) A member other than the Chairperson may at any time resign his or her office by instrument in writing addressed to the Governor General and transmitted through the Chairperson and, from the date of the receipt of the instrument by the Governor General, that person ceases to be a member of the Council.
(2) The Chairperson may at any time resign his or her office by instrument in writing addressed to the Governor General and, from the date of receipt of the instrument by the Governor General, that person ceases to be Chairperson and a member of the Council.
