(1) The Public Service Commission, may appoint a Director in whom shall be vested, subject to this Act, the administration of each correctional facility and the control and direction of the staff of the Correctional Services including the assigning of duties to such staff.
(2) The Public Service Commission may appoint a Deputy Director, and such number of Assistant Directors and other Officers as may be necessary for the efficient functioning of the Correctional Services.
(3) All correctional officers serving in the Correctional Services on the coming into force of this Act shall be deemed to have been appointed under this Act.
(4) The rules contained in the code of conduct set out in the Regulations made under section 48(h) shall regulate the professional practice, conduct and discipline of correctional officers.
(5) The disciplinary procedures of the Public Service Commission shall have effect in relation to disciplinary proceedings against a correctional officer.
