(1) Nothing in this Act or regulations shall be construed to exempt any inmate from being proceeded against for any offence by the ordinary courts of law and no inmate shall be punished twice for the same offence.
(2) Nothing in this section shall be construed as derogating from the powers contained in sections 31 and 32 in relation to the imposition of any of the punishments therein provided for in those sections.
