10. Subsistence allowance to person other than public officers
(1) Any person other than an officer within the meaning of this Act, travelling on the public service on the written authority of the Governor General and absent from his or her normal place of residence on such service, shall be entitled to receive for such travelling and absence, a subsistence allowance in accordance with the Regulations to be made by Cabinet under this Act.
(2) Cabinet shall decide, for the purpose of this section, the place to be regarded as the normal place of residence of any person claiming subsistence allowance by virtue of this section.
