(1) The Board may, with the approval of the Governor General, make rules—
(a) prescribing the method in which livestock may be purchased from producers;
(b) prescribing the prices to be paid in respect of each grade or type of livestock;
(c) prescribing the price to be paid in respect of each grade or type of meat and meat product;
(d) prescribing the times for accepting livestock at the various depots established in accordance with section 15(a);
(e) prescribe forms of licences to be issued to dealers in meat and meat products;
(f) generally for carrying out the purposes of this Act.
(2) Rules made under this section may prescribe in respect of any contravention thereof or failure to comply therewith a penalty on summary conviction not exceeding $100.
