2. Interpretation
In these Regulations —
“Act” means the Census Act;
“authorized official” means a person authorized in writing by the census officer;
“census” means the census directed to be taken by the Order;
“census day” means the date of the census specified in the Order;
“census form” means the form referred to under regulation 5;
“census information” means information necessary for making a true and accurate entry in a census form;
“census night” means the census night specified in the Order;
“census officer” means a person appointed under section 3 of the Act;
“electronic communication” has the meaning assigned to it under section 2 of the Electronic Transactions Act;
“enumeration district” means one of the districts into which Saint Lucia is divided under regulation 6;
“enumerator” means the person appointed under regulation 7;
“Order” means the Census Order, 2022;
“supervisor” means the person appointed under regulation 7;
“vessel” includes a ship, boat or other description of a vessel used or designated to be used in navigation.
