(1) Subject to this Act, the Articles set out in Schedule 1 (being Articles of the General Convention) have the force of law in Saint Lucia and shall be construed in accordance with the provisions of this section.
(2) In the Articles referred to in subsection (1)—
(a) the reference in Article 1 to the effect that the United Nations shall possess juridical personality shall be construed as meaning that the United Nations is a body corporate within the meaning of section 19 of the Interpretation Act;
(b) the term “a national” in relation to Saint Lucia shall be construed as meaning a citizen of Saint Lucia or any person entitled to be registered as such.
