6. Jurisdiction
Proceedings under this Act may be instituted before a magistrate at any time within one year from the time when the cause of complaint arose; and the procedure shall be the same as the procedure in respect of offences punishable on summary conviction.
However, such proceedings shall not be instituted without the consent in writing of the Attorney General.
