2.   Vesting of land in Castries corporation for use as a Recreation Ground

The land acquired by the Government of Saint Lucia from Dame Alexander Clavier (Marie Josephine Lestrade) by deed before P. J. K. Ferguson, Notary Royal, dated July 6, 1883, registered July 7, 1883 in Vol. 43, No. 13953, and according to the plan of survey thereof by H. E. D. Bernez, Acting Staff Surveyor dated December 27, 1933, filed in the Crown Lands Office December 27, 1933, containing by admeasurement 5 acres and 12 perches (5a. 0r. 12p.) bounded on the North by the Castries River on the East by Victoria Park, from which it is separated by a wall in masonry, on the South by the Public Highway from Castries to Dennery and on the West by lands called Leslie (Heirs Pierre Louis Barthelemy) from which it is also separated by a wall in masonry, is hereby vested in the Castries Corporation (hereinafter referred to as the Corporation) on the condition that the rectangular portion thereof enclosed on all sides by a wall of masonry is to be used as a public recreation ground, subject to the power of the Corporation to restrict the free use of, or entry on, such land on such occasions and during such period as the Corporation may prescribe.
