26. Persons in possession to be deemed owners
Where any question shall arise touching the title of any person to any land which may be entered upon or acquired for the purposes of this Act, or touching any estate or interest therein, the person having the ostensible possession or enjoyment of the rents and profits of such land, for the purposes of this Act, is considered to be the owner of the same until the contrary is proved.
