20. Compellability of spouses in civil proceedings
In civil proceedings, not being proceedings concerning the custody, guardianship or wardship of a child, or proceedings for access to a child, a person is not compellable to give evidence of a communication between the person and his or her spouse or de facto spouse made during the marriage or while they lived together, as the case may be.
