16. Compellability : Governor General, etc.

(1) The Governor General, or the Head of State of a foreign country is not compellable to give evidence.

(2) A member of the House of Assembly or Senate of Saint Lucia is not compellable to give evidence, if the member would thereby be prevented from attending—
1. (a) a sitting of the House of Assembly or the Senate of Saint Lucia or a joint sitting of the House of Assembly and Senate of Saint Lucia; or
1. (b) a meeting of a Committee of the House of Assembly or Senate of Saint Lucia.
