(1) A member shall hold office for a period of 2 years unless the member dies, resigns or has his appointment revoked.
(2) Notwithstanding subsection (1), a person who is appointed to fill a vacancy created by the death, resignation or removal from office of a former member, shall hold office only for the unexpired portion of the term of that former member.
(3) A member is eligible for reappointment for a further term on the expiration of the term of his appointment.
