2. Interpretation
In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires—
“constituency” has the same meaning as “electoral district” in section 2 of the Elections Act;
“Constituency Council” or “Council” means a body of local representatives who have been appointed in accordance with section 4 (Inserted by Cap. 17.19);
“member” means member of a Constituency Council;
“Ministry” means the Ministry responsible for local government;
“Minister” means the Minister responsible for local government;
“repealed Acts” means the Local Authorities Ordinance, the Castries Corporation Act and the Castries Corporation (Termination of Council) (Repeal) Act.
