(1) The judicial authority may, on a CARICOM Arrest Warrant, issue a warrant for the arrest of the requested person.
(2) A warrant issued under subsection (1) may be executed in a district in Saint Lucia by a person to whom the warrant is directed or a police officer.
(3) If a person is arrested pursuant to a CARICOM arrest warrant, under subsection (2) the person who is arrested must be informed of —
(a) the CARICOM arrest warrant and its contents;
(b) the right to be represented by an attorney-at-law and assisted by an interpreter, if necessary; and
(c) the option of consenting to be surrendered to the issuing State Party.
(4) A person arrested under a CARICOM arrest warrant shall be brought before the judicial authority as soon as practicable.
