2. Interpretation
In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires—
“Board” means the National Assistance Board established under section 3;
“Minister” means the Minister charged with responsibility for the subject of Public Assistance;
“needy person” means any and every person who by reason of infancy, old age, illness, disease, bodily infirmity or mental incapacity is unable to maintain himself or herself.
