2. Interpretation
In this Act—
“authorised officer” means any member of the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force established by the Police Act or other person duly appointed as such by the Chief Engineer by a notification published in the Gazette and in one or more newspapers circulating in Saint Lucia;
“Chief Engineer” means the person performing the duties of Chief Engineer of Saint Lucia;
“the floor of the sea” means the soil and subsoil of the sea off the coast of Saint Lucia between low water mark and so far out to sea as is deemed by international law to be within the territorial sovereignty of the Crown.
