4. Penalty for making false declaration
A person who makes a declaration according to this Act, containing any statement false in fact, which the person knows or believes to be false or does not believe to be true, commits a misdemeanour, and on conviction is liable to imprisonment, with or without hard labour, for any term not exceeding one year.
