(1) This Part does not apply to the organising, holding, calling together or addressing of—
(a) a political meeting held during an electioneering period;
(b) any meeting in connection with any of the purposes set out in Schedule 1, or in connection with such other purposes as may be included in Schedule 1 as provided by section 22.
(2) During a period when an order is in force under Part 4 the operations of sections 3, 4, 5 and 6 shall be suspended throughout the State or in any area to which such order relates.
