33.   Unlawful oaths

A person who—

  1.  

    (a)     administers or is present at the administration of any oath or undertaking in the nature of an oath purporting to bind the person who takes it to act in any of the ways following that is to say—

    1.  

      (i)     to engage in any seditious or subversive enterprise,

    1.  

      (ii)     to disturb the public peace,

    1.  

      (iii)     to be a member of any association or society formed for doing any such act as aforesaid,

    1.  

      (iv)     to obey the orders or commands of any committee or body of persons not lawfully constituted or of any leader or commander or other person not having authority by law,

    1.  

      (v)     not to give evidence against any association or other person,

    1.  

      (vi)     not to reveal or discover any unlawful association or society or any illegal act done or to be done or any illegal oath or undertaking that may have been administered or tendered to or taken by himself or herself or any other person or the import of any such oath or undertaking; or

  1.  

    (b)     takes any such oath or undertaking as is referred to in paragraph (a) above not being compelled to do so,

  1.  

    commits an offence and is liable on indictment to a term of imprisonment not exceeding 5 years
