12.   Leader of march may be required to call on march to disperse

  1.  

    (1)   A police officer not below the rank of corporal may require any person—

    1.  

      (a)     leading any public march in contravention of the provisions of this Part or otherwise than in accordance with the terms of a permit issued under this Part; or

    1.  

      (b)     appearing to him or her to be the leader or one of the leaders of any such public march,

  1.  

    to call on such public march to disperse.

  1.  

    (2)   Any person required under subsection (1) to call on any public march to disperse who refuses, fails or neglects immediately to call on such public march to disperse, commits an offence under this section.

    (3)   Any person taking part in any public march that is called on to disperse under subsection (1) who fails to comply with such requirement commits an offence.
