59.   Disclosure of information and documents held by Government departments

Despite any provision in this or in any other law the Court may on the application by the Director of Public Prosecutions order the person in charge of any Government department or statutory body to produce or furnish to the Director of Public Prosecutions or any other person specified in the order any document or information which is in his or her possession or under his or her control or to which he or she may reasonably have access (not being a document readily available to the public) which the Court considers relevant to any investigation into, or proceedings, relating to a criminal conduct alleged or suspected to have been committed by any person.
