8.   Warrant to search premises and to arrest and seize

Where a police officer gives information on oath to a Magistrate that there is reasonable cause to believe that any agricultural produce obtained in the commission of an offence of praedial larceny is concealed or lodged in any premises, the Magistrate may issue a warrant authorising the police officer with such assistance as may be necessary to execute the warrant and to cause—

  1.  

    (a)     the premises to be entered and searched;

  1.  

    (b)     the arrest of the owner or occupier of the premises or any other person found in the premises; or

  1.  

    (c)     the seizure of any agricultural produce found in the premises,

if there is reasonable cause to suspect that an offence of praedial larceny has been committed.
