PART 13
OFFENCES AGAINST THE POLICE

60. Offences against the Police Force

(1) Whoever—
1. (a) has in his or her possession any clothing, arms, ammunition, accoutrements or other appointments furnished for the use of the Force, and does not account satisfactorily for the possession thereof, or puts on and assumes the dress, name, designation or description of any police officer;
1. (b) knowingly harbours, entertains, or either directly or indirectly sells or gives any intoxicating liquor to any police officer on duty, or permits him or her to remain in his or her house without lawful excuse; or
1. (c) refuses to aid or assist any police officer when lawfully called upon by such member to do so,

is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding $50 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one month.

(2) Whoever—
1. (a) assists or conceals any deserter from the Police Force knowing him or her to be such;
1. (b) puts on or assumes the dress, name, designation or description of any police officer, in such a manner or under such circumstances as to be likely to bring contempt upon that uniform, or employs any other person so to wear that uniform; or
1. (c) assaults, obstructs, or resists, or incites any other person to assault, obstruct or resist, any police officer in the execution of his or her duty,

is liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months.
