(1) There shall be paid to the holder of the office of the Parliamentary Commissioner or to any person for the time being lawfully performing the functions of the office a salary of $86,400 per annum.
(2) The salary of the Parliamentary Commissioner shall not be reduced during his or her continuance in office.
