2. Interpretation
In this Act—
“Court” means the Family Court;
“habitual drunkard” means a person who, not being amenable to any jurisdiction relating to unsoundness of mind, is nevertheless, by reason of habitual intemperate drinking of intoxicating liquor, or the habitual taking or using, except upon medical advice, of opium or other controlled drug within the meaning of the Drugs (Prevention of Misuse) Act at times dangerous to himself or herself or to others, or incapable of managing himself or herself, and his or her affairs;
“Minister” means the Minister responsible for social affairs.
