6. False Statements
If for the purpose of obtaining an increase or continuing an increase of a pension under this Act, either for himself or herself or for any other person, or for the purpose of obtaining or continuing such increase at a higher rate than that appropriate to the case, any person knowingly makes a false statement, or false representation, he or she is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding $500 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 3 months and, in the case of a pensioner to forfeit any pension or increase of pension payable to him or her.
