7.   Payment of compensation where owner doubtful

  1.  

    (1)   Where any doubt arises as to the person who is entitled as owner to the payment of any compensation which is payable under this Act, such compensation shall be paid into the High Court to the credit of the person who may be entitled thereto and it may (subject to the provisions of this section) on the subsequent application of any person claiming to be entitled thereto, be paid out to such person on the order of a judge of the High Court.

    (2)   All monies paid into the High Court under the provisions of this section which remain unclaimed for 12 years after such payment shall be transferred and paid into the general revenue of the Island and all claims thereto shall be forever barred.
