5.   Application of vienna convention on consular relations

  1.  

    (1)   Subject to this Act, the Articles set out in Schedule 2 (being Articles of the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations signed in 1963) have the force of law in Saint Lucia and shall be construed in accordance with the provisions of this section.

    (2)   In the Articles referred to in subsection (1)—

agents of the receiving State” includes any police officer and any person exercising power of entry to any premises under any written law in force in Saint Lucia;

member of the family” means in relation to any person, the spouse or any dependant relative of that person;

mission” means any Embassy or High Commission;

national of the receiving State” means any citizen of Saint Lucia or any person entitled to be registered as such.
