1. A living person upon whom the award of National Hero has been conferred is entitled to —
(a) wear as a decoration the prescribed insignia of the Order of National Hero;
(b) the use of the title “Right Excellent”; and
(c) have the letters “NH” placed after his or her name on all occasions when the use of such letters is customary.
2. The award of National Hero shall be considered as the highest of the Awards conferred upon citizens of Saint Lucia other than the Knight or Dame Grand Cross of the Order of Saint Lucia, and shall take precedence before all other decorations including those conferred by the Sovereign.
3. The riband of the Order of National Hero shall be composed of vertical stripes of the colours blue, gold, black, white and silver, and shall be the width of two inches. The insignia shall be worn suspended from the riband around the neck.
