A person is not required to make any payment or to do any act in connection with any bank upon any bank holiday; and the obligation to make such payment or to do such act shall apply to the day next following such bank holiday; and the making of such payment or the doing of such act on such following day is equivalent to payment of the money or performance of the act on the holiday.
